Nisis Kefalos is a small islet directly off Ak Panayia in the Gulf of Amvrakia (Amvrakikos Kolpos) and a quiet place to moor up for a lunch time stop. The pretty sandy beach at Panayia has a great beach bar and wonderful taverna and is a good place to spend a relaxing afternoon before venturing round to Vonitsa for an evening moored in front of the beautifully lit Venetian/Byzantine castle.

The island of Othoni is located just over 10 miles off the northwest coast of Corfu and is one of the three small islets that are collectively the Diapontia Islands (or Faraway Islands). Administratively part of Corfu Othoni is the most western part of the whole of Greece and only 43 miles off the cape of Otranto, Italy.

Othoni is a stunning mountainous island abundant with olive trees, beautiful beaches and 13 small villages dispersed throughout the island that has hardly been touched by tourism.

The smallest and most northerly of the group of three Diapondian Islands, Mathraki offers peace and tranquility on your Ionian yacht charter holiday.

The ‘Faraway Island’ of Mathraki isvery picturesque and has a magnificent coastline which forms bays, two of the largest are Ammos and Apidies, with little taverns awaiting visiting sailors every summer. The small harbor in Mathraki is a real haven offering good shelter whilst on your Ionian yacht charter holiday.

Mandraki harbour in Corfu, headquarters of POIATH Yacht Club of Corfu (Hellenic Off-Shore Sailing Club) and IOK (Corfu Sailing Club) is a small haven below and to the north of the old fort in Corfu town (Kerkyra).

The port provides mooring for the club’s members yachts, but also has openings for visitors. With only a small number of berths it is best to contact the ‘marinero’ in advance, a charge will be made but the harbour is an superb location directly under the steep walls of the fort and a short stroll into the centre of the beautiful old town of Corfu.

Cleopatra Marina lies across the Ionian town of Preveza in the Amvrakikos Gulf. The new marina has a maximum capacity of 136 but however Cleopatra Marina can offer space for more Ionian yacht charter sailing boats. Cleopatra marina is only 10 minutes away from the airport at Preveza (also known as Aktion) and can be used by those on their yacht charter sailing holiday as an alternative to Preveza. Whilst the marina is fairly new it has few services and facilities with one taverna and café bar.
