Nisis Kefalos is a small islet directly off Ak Panayia in the Gulf of Amvrakia (Amvrakikos Kolpos) and a quiet place to moor up for a lunch time stop. The pretty sandy beach at Panayia has a great beach bar and wonderful taverna and is a good place to spend a relaxing afternoon before venturing round to Vonitsa for an evening moored in front of the beautifully lit Venetian/Byzantine castle.

Rougas Bay (Ormos Rougas) to the east of Vonitsa is a great place to moor and while away an afternoon in the Ionian. With a beautiful landscape and a number of coves to excplore and a little bar/taverna ashore Rougas bay makes for a peaceful and relaxing lunchtime spot.

Ormos Ay Markou (Saint Mark’s bay) provides one of the most protected anchorages in the Gulf of Amvrakia and the anchorage to the east of Nisis Koukouvitsa, east of Vonitsa town is a beautiful place covered in pine trees with a small church.
