The unique beauty of the coastline of Paxos island or Paxi is renowned throughout the Ionian. The natural harbours of Lakka, Gaios and Mongonisi teem with boats in the summer months. The importance of the anchorage they offer increases when the maestro blows and the microclimate is a refuge from the currents and the swell of the Paxos straits. The impressive cliffs with sea caves and underwater caves along the west coast of Paxos are a ‘must see’ in favourable weather.

A bustling small lonian city at the entrance of the Amvrakikos gulf Preveza is a busy commercial centre but at the same time has narrow alleys filled with fantastic tavernas, café bars and shops together with neoclassical houses, belfries and some wonderful examples of Turkish and Venetian architecture.

Mourtos is a small village on mainland Greece, north of the Ionian Sea hidden behind a group of tiny islands, called Sivota or Syvota.  Mourtos has a beautiful boulevard and a number of terraces along with to stroll, take a cold drink and admire one of the most beautiful sunsets in the area. The town quay is perfectly laid out for sailing yachts with a few places to eat and drink. Nearby there are lots of anchorages and places to stop off for lunch.

The small port village of Plataria is situated in the northwest coastline of the Greek mainland. Opposite Plataria lies the south tip of Corfu island, the tip of Asprokavos, separated by a narrow channel of 9 nautical miles. Plataria has a new harbour with ample berths for sailing yachts of all sizes. It is a traditional Greek fishing village and with a good selection of locally produced foods as well as a beautiful sandy beach which is popular in the summer.

Atoko island (or Atokos island), sitting virtually in the centre of the southern Ionian inland sea is a popular stop between Kastos or Kalamos and Ithaca. With two popular anchorages for lunch time stops and swimming - Cliff Bay and One House Bay. Atoko is a privately owned uninhabited island and the only human structure is a church at One House Bay which is clearly visible from the beach.
