One of the most historically important cities in Europe, Athens is the perfect place to begin and end your holiday. Why not give yourself an extra day or two in the city to explore the ancient temples and ruins.
In the evenings this cosmopolitan place comes alive with street entertainments and market stalls, lively bars and excellent restaurants.
This picturesque village has a small quay with space for a few boats and room to anchor, there are nice beaches and plenty of tavernas and bars in the resort.
Space for some boats bows or stern to on the south quay, the village itself is 4km inland but there are a couple of bars and tavernas near to the harbour and a beach.
Although the quay is usually full of local boats there may be a space or two. If you don’t mind a dinghy trip ashore, there is plenty of space to anchor and although the bay can occasionally suffer from late afternoon winds they die down later and the bay offers good shelter from most directions and the holding is good. The landscape here is spectacular.
With three stunning beaches and picturesque sloping hills around the bay this is a great place to anchor up or even spend the night if you can find a space on one of the piers.
There are spaces on the quay either stern or bows to in this quiet fishing village which has a few tavernas and a mini-market.
There is quay space in the harbour for several visiting yachts and is a great base from which to visit the nearby Monastry of Elona. There are several tavernas on the waterfront and a small shop plus more in the town.
Known as the party town of the Cyclades, Mykonos is the place to sip cocktails and rub shoulders with celebrities. The harbour itself is charming and has good facilities for visiting yachts, get in early though to find your space!
In the summer this harbour is bustling with holidaymakers and is home to one of the best churches in the Aegean. There is wonderful Cycladic architecture and lovely tavernas in this town situated in a large sheltered bay on the west coast of Paros.
