There is a large quay which stretches right round the town with water and electricity in many of the spots. The town itself, on the south end of the peninsula, is a pretty one with lots of shops, restaurants and lively bars. It is worth the walk to the top of the hill to see the amazing views.
Despite the harbour being crowded with boats coming to and from Athens, a visit to Aegina is a chance to experience the Greek way of life; enjoy a coffee at one of the beach front cafes, swim in the crystal clear sea from one of the sandy beaches, then round off the day with a late dinner and an ouzo at one of the many fantastic authentic tavernas.
One of the busiest and largest marina in Greece with many charter yachts operating from here. The facilities here for yachts are excellent and there’s some great bars and restaurants and a short tram or taxi ride into central Athens and all the sites.
