The Yachts

Yacht Specifications

The purchase price is FULLY INCLUSIVE of a comprehensive range of extras and options in addition to the yachts’ standard specification to make it a highly specified yacht perfect for Mediterranean cruising.

This includes offshore sails, electric anchor windlass, chartplotter, instrumentation, bimini, dinghy and cockpit cushions, CD/radio and speakers, hot water cockpit shower and VHF/DSC radio as well as all necessary safety equipment, galley and chandlery items. Delivery, commissioning and all necessary administration in obtaining a charter licence are also included.

Lefkas Marina

Your yacht will have its own permanent berth at Lefkas marina. The marina is one of the finest in the Mediterranean and certainly one of the most beautiful in Greece.

Lefkas marina lies on the north east side of the beautiful Greek Ionian island of Lefkas; the only island in Greece accessible by car and just 20 minutes drive from Preveza airport which is served by many airlines from the UK.  

Superbly serviced, sheltered and secure, it offers unrivalled views, a stunning setting and access to Lefkas’ historic town the marina is undoubtedly the perfect location for sailing and cruising throughout the Ionian sea.

The marina offers a full range of facilities to its guests including shops, supermarket, laundry services, yacht club, fully equipped gym, wireless internet and refueling station. The marina's stylish hotel and it's beautiful outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace is also available to marina yacht owners and their guests.

With a selection of cafes and restaurants the marina is the perfect place for lunch, a coffee or quiet drink, or to spend the evening relaxing and watching the yachts return from the day cruising the Ionian islands. Lefkas marina is in close walking distance of Lefkas Town; also known as Lefkada, with its attractive waterfront, pretty paved alleyways, cafe bars, tavernas, restaurants and shops.

In 2007 the "Blue Flag" was awarded to Lefkas marina. The Blue Flag is a program of environmental awareness and protection which runs in 35 countries in Europe and other parts of the world by the Foundation for Environmental Education (F.E.E.).

Owners' Use

Each time you come to Greece to sail your yacht we will arrange for you to be collected from the airport and driven to the marina - just 20 minutes away. When you arrive at the marina in Lefkas your yacht will be fully prepared ready for you to set sail. Your yacht will be full of fuel and water with high quality bed linen and luxury towels on board. Set sail straight away or relax and unwind on board, in one of the café bars in the marina or in beautiful Lefkas town.

Sail your yacht for up to 6 weeks every year in the beautiful Ionian. If you don’t use your yacht for all of your weeks we will look to charter her and you will receive an additional income or you can chose to take a smaller income and sail for more than 6 weeks a year.

Sailing in the Greek Ionian 

The Ionian Islands are to the west of mainland Greece and are home to one of the Mediterranean’s most popular sailing destinations providing the perfect cruising ground for fun, relaxed and varied sailing. The Ionian has a wonderful Mediterranean climate with beautiful warm summers and the sun shines here for over 3000 hours a year!

The Ionian Region of Greece consists of three groups of islands: The central group of Ionian islands consists of Lefkas (Lefkada) with just a narrow sea canal separating it from the Greek mainland, and the fantastic cluster of smaller islands that surround it including Skorpios, Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Skorpidi, Madouri, Sparti, Heloni, Thileia and Kythros. The central group of Ionian islands also includes the larger islands of Kefalonia, Zakynthos (Zante) and the much celebrated Ithaca (Ithaki). Further north, Corfu (Kerkyra) forms the most significant part of the northern group and is the administrative capital of the Ionian Islands Region. The northern group also includes the smaller Diapontia islands of Othoni, Erikoussa and Mathraki and the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos to the south.

To the east of the Ionian Islands stretches the western coast of Mainland Greece (Epirus). The ports of Parga,Sivota and Preveza;that nestle along these shores are washed by the same crystal blue waters of the Ionian Sea and share the same natural character and ambience of the islands making these towns and villages popular for visiting sailing yachts.

Maintaining your Yacht

Your yacht will be kept in the purpose built, secure marina complex all year round where she receives ongoing servicing and regular maintenance and checks all carried out and managed by ourselves. Through good preventive maintenance and regular servicing, cleaning and polishing you get the maximum enjoyment from your yacht whilst enhancing its resale value. She is lifted out of the water for the winter from the purpose built dock facility using a yacht travel lift and is returned again before the start of the summer.

We believe that owning a first class yacht requires first class mooring and winter storage facilities. The superb facilities at Lefkas marina ensure that your yacht will be kept in the best possible environment all year round which means you don’t have to worry about the perils of town quays and old boat yards.

Duration

We look for yachts to be with us initially for five seasons, the same period as the Greek charter license is issued for. You can decide to end the agreement in any year by giving ample notice. Owners have the opportunity to extend their period of yacht management with us if they wish.
