Joining Instructions Trogir

Pre-charter Information & FAQ's Sejet Donji, Trogir

Please complete the crew list as soon as possible as this will avoid delays in processing your yacht papers which could in turn delay you setting sail. The completed crew list will also allow us to organise your transfers from/to Split airport if required.

If you have booked a skipper please ignore the skipper sections of the form but allocate one of your party who is over 18 as ‘First Mate’.

TRANSFERS TO SCT MARINA TROGIR

If you need any help or information when arranging your travel to SCT Marina Trogir near Split airport we will be glad to help.

Request a transfer from/to Split airport by checking the box on the Crew List/Transfer Form & completing your flight information

When you depart the airport terminal there will be a driver waiting holding a card bearing your name who will drive you directly to the marina where the base team will be waiting to greet you. Please pay the driver directly in kunas. Taxis cost the equivalent (in kuna) of approximately £25 per car each way.  We will advise of prices for larger groups. The transfer takes around 15 minutes.

Your transfers will automatically be arranged if you have correctly completed your flight information on the Crew List/Transfer form so there is no need to re-check or re-send flight information to us.

ARRIVALS

  • For bareboat charters, upon arrival just the Skipper and First Mate should make their way to the Croatia Yacht Club office (please see map below). We recommend other crew members can sit and enjoy a cool drink at the Salt Bar nearby. Bocel restaurant above the Salt Bar is great for lunch or dinner with a great view over the marina (please note that the cafe and restaurant only take cash/Kuna).
  • For skippered charters make your way to the Croatia Yacht Club office and the office staff can let your skipper know you have arrived and they will come and meet you.
  • If you have booked an Island Sailing flotilla the lead crew will meet you at the Salt Bar. If they are not at the Salt Bar upon your arrival they will be in the marina and never far away so please give them a call. We will let you know your lead crew or skipper’s name and telephone number when we finalise our crew and skipper schedules the week prior to your charter.

If you will be arriving at the marina after 18.00 please inform us in advance so we can make arrangements with you for boarding your yacht.

If we are not arranging your transfers please let Island Sailing know the approximate time of your arrival to the marina. There are a number of marinas in Trogir, make sure you go to SCT. If you are going to be significantly earlier or later than expected please call us (see contact information below).

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Travel light is our advice. Don’t forget your passport(s).

Unless you have booked a skipper you must remember to bring the original copy(s) of your sailing qualifications/skipper's licence and VHF radio licence.

You must bring a mobile phone set up for roaming in Croatia and charger – it is very important that we can keep in contact in case of emergency as VHF signal is only line of sight.

Please bring your luggage in a soft bag that will fold down without wheels or hard edges. Space on a yacht is limited and cases with hard edges and wheels will often damage the woodwork on the boat. Unfortunately there isn't a luggage store at the marina.

Bedding and yacht towels are provided on your yacht but we advise you to bring beach towels with you. If you have a late flight home we recommend bringing another towel if you wish as yacht towels cannot be kept after you disembark on the last day.

All yachts are equipped with sufficient numbers of life jackets, usually of a standard size. If you are not a standard size, or especially for small children it is wise to bring your own life jackets . If you would like to check about this before you come to Croatia please get in touch.

You will need to bring a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card for your yacht security deposit (debit cards and AMEX are not accepted). Please make sure you have a large enough limit to cover the deposit for the yacht you have booked. If you do not possess a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card you must inform us BEFORE you travel to Croatia as your charter can't commence without the completed credit card security deposit.
