Pre-charter Information & FAQ's Dubrovnik ACI

Please complete the crew list as soon as possible as this will avoid delays in processing your yacht papers which could in turn delay you setting sail. The completed crew list will also allow us to organise your transfers from/to Dubrovnik airport if required.

If you have booked a skipper please ignore the skipper sections of the form but allocate one of your party who is over 18 as ‘First Mate’.

TRANSFERS TO ACI MARINA DUBROVNIK

If you need any help or information when arranging your travel to ACI Marina Dubrovnik we will be glad to help.

Request a transfer from/to Dubrovnik airport by checking the box on the Crew List/Transfer Form & completing your flight information

When you depart the airport terminal there will be a driver waiting holding a card bearing your name who will drive you directly to the marina where the base team will be waiting to greet you. Please pay the driver directly in kunas. Taxis cost the equivalent (in kuna) of approximately £38 for up to 4 people each way and around the equivalent of £55 for up to 8 people. The transfer takes around 35 minutes.

Your transfers will automatically be arranged if you have correctly completed your flight information on the Crew List/Transfer form so there is no need to re-check or re-send flight information to us.

ARRIVALS

  • For bareboat charters, upon arrival just the Skipper and First Mate should make their way to the Waypoint office (please see map below). We recommend other crew members can sit and enjoy a cool drink at the cafe bar nearby. There's a restaurant and cafe bar at ACI marina and some just outside as well.
  • For skippered charters make your way to the Waypoint office and the office staff can let your skipper know you have arrived and they will come and meet you.

If you will be arriving at the marina after 20.00 please inform us in advance so we can make arrangements with you for boarding your yacht.

If we are not arranging your transfers please let Island Sailing know the approximate time of your arrival to the marina. If you are going to be significantly earlier or later than expected please call us (see contact information below).

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Travel light is our advice. Don’t forget your passport(s), ID and insurance documents. Please note country entry/exit and vaccination/immunisation requirements can and do change. Island Sailing is not accountable for these requirement changes and we advise visiting the destination's government website to receive the latest updates.

Unless you have booked a skipper you must remember to bring the original copy(s) of your sailing qualifications/skipper's licence and VHF radio licence. It is essential that you take your original skippers license or certificate with you in the event that the Port Authorities ask you to present it to them. If you do not have an official sailing license, by law the team at base will not be able to allow you to charter without an officially certified skipper onboard.

You must bring a mobile phone set up for roaming in Croatia and charger – it is very important that we can keep in contact in case of emergency as VHF signal is only line of sight.

Please bring your luggage in a soft bag that will fold down without wheels or hard edges. Space on a yacht is limited and cases with hard edges and wheels will often damage the woodwork on the boat. Unfortunately there isn't a luggage store at the marina.

Bedding and yacht towels are provided on your yacht but we advise you to bring beach towels with you. If you have a late flight home we recommend bringing another towel if you wish as yacht towels cannot be kept after you disembark on the last day.

All yachts are equipped with sufficient numbers of life jackets, usually of a standard size. If you are not a standard size, or especially for small children it is wise to bring your own life jackets. If you would like to check about this before you come to Croatia please get in touch.

You will need to bring a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card for your yacht security deposit (debit cards are not accepted). Please make sure you have a large enough limit to cover the deposit for the yacht you have booked. If you do not possess a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card you must inform us BEFORE you travel to Croatia as your charter can't commence without the completed credit card security deposit.
