Where did 2012 go?! The summer sailing season in the Ionian went so fast last year and we shared the most gloriously long hot summer with some fantastic customers! The traditional Greek way of life still prevalent throughout the Ionian islands continues to remains unchanged and our yacht charterers and flotillas enjoyed the charm and unspoilt beauty of traditional Greece … not to mention the wonderful weather and great sailing!

We are extremely excited about 2013. We have the most fantastic range of modern cruising yachts available ALL sailing out of either Lefkas marina or Gouvia marina, Corfu. RYA sailing courses were extremely popular in Greece last year and so we are delighted to announce that we will now be offering the range of RYA courses directly through our new fully accredited Island Sailing RYA Training Centre at Lefkas marina. We look forward to sharing the beauty and charm of the Ionian islands with our customers, old and new in 2013.

Exciting New Yachts for charter in Greece in 2013

We are delighted to be able to offer more new yachts in 2013 for yacht charter in Greece. The additional yachts include 2 more new Bavaria 32’s and an additional brand new model Bavaria 36 Cruiser from Lefkas marina as well as an amazing new model Bavaria 45 with a top class spec also available from Lefkas marina. We are also pleased to be welcoming a brand new Oceanis 37 and Oceanis 41, both with 3 cabins plus a stunning Oceanis 45 with 4 cabins and a fantastic electric drop down bathing platform!  With a range of fantastic yachts ranging in size and budget from 27 feet right up to a stunning 54 foot 5 cabin Beneteau Oceanis we hope that there will be a yacht for everyone.

Island Sailing launches new RYA Training Centre 

RYA sailing course bookings have become so popular that we are pleased to announce that we now offer a comprehensive range of RYA practical and on-line theory sailing courses directly through our new fully accredited Island Sailing RYA Training Centre! RYA sailing courses in Greece include RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper and RYA Coastal Skipper. We are delighted to welcome our new sailing instructors for the 2013 season who will be teaching individuals, couples, families and groups of friends to learn to  sail or advance their sailing skills and qualifications.

From 26^th May through to 6^th October this year you can fly with Monarch/Flybe from Birmingham direct to Preveza/Lefkas on Sundays. Flight times are:

Island Sailing’s first wedding!

We welcomed a fantastic young couple to Lefkas from London last summer who both passed their RYA Day Skipper courses sailing with Ian. They really got the sailing bug and we look forward to welcoming them back to the Ionian in August as they get married in Greece and charter one of our yachts for their honeymoon around the Ionian islands!
