What Support do you get We offer support and advice to all our bareboat customers. Our base teams are on hand at the start of your charter and will be waiting to catch your lines at the end. We can organise your transfers to and from the local airport to the marina yacht base. You have 24/7 communication with the base team via radio or phone and in the unlikely event of you needing support, backup is provided. Local weather information. Plan your own routes or ask us for suggestions and advice on the sailing area from the best anchorages and beaches and mooring advice to great restaurants, tavernas, cafes and bakeries and local shops facilities. You will receive a comprehensive handover of your yacht including its operation and all of the equipment aboard. You will have a comprehensive sailing guide to the area and all necessary charts and navigation aids including on-deck chart plotter.

Sailing Area & Mooring The Ionian Islands sailing area has something to offer most sailors from relaxing island hops to longer, more exhilarating sailing days. As distances between the main cluster of islands are fairly short you don't have to sail for hours at a time if you don't want to. For more adventurous sailors the northern and southern extremities of the Ionian islands offer longer passages. You can easily explore the North or South Ionian islands from the Ionian yacht bases and, especially for those on a two week charter you can visit the islands in both the north and the south Ionian. > More About The Ionian Islands Mooring around the Greek islands is usually free. Mooring at the full-service marina yacht base at Lefkas and Corfu plus power and water is included in the yacht charter price. During your charter you will generally moor each night in a small harbour or town quay without charge. There are also some bays where you can moor for free and take your dinghy ashore. There are only a handful of places in the entire sailing area where mooring fees are due and we can advise you of these before you set sail.
	Qualifications To sail a yacht bareboat Greek Maritime Law requires you to have an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) sailing license for sail issued by the state authority of the country that you are coming from or an RYA Day Skipper practical certificate for sail or higher. With previous experience sailing on a similar size yacht the skipper should be assisted by at least one competent member of crew over 18 years of age. The skipper should be competent at handling a yacht in close quarters, anchoring and mooring in varying conditions and be able to use navigation and pilotage skills to plan the day’s sailing and know your position at any time.
